Tennessee: Senate passes bill to recognize Right-to-Carry in restaurants

The state Senate approved a bill Thursday that would let handgun owners carry their weapons into any establishment that serves alcohol, raising further doubts about an earlier compromise meant to let guns into restaurants but keep them out of bars.
The Senate passed their version of the guns in restaurants bill 23-9 without considering a House amendment meant to prevent people who have permits to carry handguns from taking them into places whose main business is serving alcohol.

Georgia: Georgia lawmakers vote to expand recognition of Right-to-Carry

Georgia lawmakers voted Thursday to back a sweeping gun rights expansion, approving a measure that would allow permit holders to carry guns into some bars and the parking lots of colleges, courthouses, airports and jails.
The measure, which was approved by both chambers Thursday in the final hour of the 40 day legislative session, comes days after a bipartisan group of legislators adopted a separate proposal that allows gun owners to carry their firearms into parts of airports throughout the state.
