SF Man Survives After Being Shot 16 Times (33-year-old gang member, had bulletproof vest on)

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) – A 33-year-old man is suffering life-threatening injuries after he was shot 16 times early Saturday morning, a spokesman for the San Francisco Police Department said. Police responded to the 300 block of Ellis Street at around 3:15 a.m. and found that the victim was wearing a bulletproof vest, officer Samson Chan said. But the victim was shot at least once in the face, and was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, Chan said.

Homeowner shoots burglar on city's northwest side(IN)

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A 23-year-old burglary suspect is in critical condition after a 64-year-old homeowner shot him in the chest just before 2:30 Thursday afternoon. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police say Phillip Dubbs came home to find his front door kicked in; he walked in and found Bryan Tuggle ransacking his home. Police say the two men got into a scuffle and Dubbs opened fire, striking Tuggle in the chest. Tuggle was rushed to Wishard Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. Police say he has been arrested and will be charged for burglary. Police say Dubbs acted within the laws…

Barn owner fires gun, deters burglary(ME)

CANAAN — A homeowner fired a gun into the air and captured one of three people allegedly burglarizing his barn early Wednesday morning, police say. David A. Fortier, 22, of Canaan, and Damien Shane Towers, 19, of Skowhegan, are both charged with burglary and theft. Rachelle R. Clukey, 19, of Cornville, is charged with theft by receiving stolen property. A homeowner on Whitten Road notified the Somerset County Sheriff's Office at 1:38 a.m. that there were people inside a barn next to his residence who were loading items into a white, 1978 Ford truck, according to Lt. Store manager wrestles gun from robber's hands(IL)

In this video you'll see the robber enter the store. He begins to take money from the register. He then points his weapon. That's when the store manager grabs the man's wrist and wrestles him to the ground. A female employee was reportedly shot in this attempt, however you do not see that in this video. She survived with injuries to her arm.

Brownells’ .22 Bolt

The bolt design, which is mostly the same across all the .22LR AR-15 kits, is ingenious. I would never have thought up that concept.

What is appealing about Brownells’ kit is that the magazines are similar in size to the AR-15 magazine. The other kits I have seen use magazines which are small and skinny.
