David Lassi is a diabetic. He was having a seizure. His roommate calls 911. The paramedics come. He flails around in the seizure. The police taser him 11 times. He was never charged with a crime.

The cities attorney says the cops are immune to prosection.

City lawyers insist it was perfectly “reasonable” for an NYPD lieutenant to order a cop to Taser an emotionally disturbed man on a building ledge – leading to his death.

Use of Taser brings charges of excessive force

A man who was shocked with a stun gun and arrested in Walden Galleria last week when he was questioned as a possible shoplifting suspect says that he was a victim of excessive force by Cheektowaga police.

And a bystander who said she saw the arrest backs up his claim.

Waveland mayor is tired of being stung by Tasers

Waveland police officers started carrying Tasers in 2006 and by late 2008 the Sun Herald was editorially asking: “Why do Waveland police use Tasers more freely than Marines in Iraq?” That question was never answered.
